Directions
There is no airport on the island of Gozo so you will usually fly into Malta international Airport and then make your way to the Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal. There is both a public bus service (the X1 service runs hourly) and airport shuttle service to the ferry but most people choose either direct (door to door) or split transfer by car/taxi.
Allow around an hour to get to the ferry from the airport, half an hour for the crossing.
If you are travelling light and haven't hired a car, then you might consider the Gozo Fast Ferry which runs every hour from Valletta waterfront. This is a 45 minute crossing on a catamaran style passenger only boat and can be a quicker way to get to the island without having to do the the trip from airport to Cirkewwa. We would recommend this as an option if the sea is relatively calm, otherwise it can be quite bouncy. The fast ferry also docks at Mgarr in Gozo.
When you arrive, you will find sixteenGozo on the northern edge of Xaghra Village, just off the Marsalforn road overlooking Pergla Valley. It takes about 15 minutes to drive from the Ferry terminal at Mgarr.
We will provide detailed directions on confirmation of booking, and can help to arrange transfers for you should you wish. We would definitely recommend pre-booking this in the busier summer months.
